<p><strong>Sarah McGee</strong> joins Northlich Cincinnati as a senior account manager in Northlich’s health &amp; wellness village. An award-winning public relations professional, Sarah bring more than five years of experience elevating brand and disease awareness among healthcare professional and consumer audiences. Prior to Northlich, Sarah worked at GolinHarris in Chicago where she led cutting-edge campaigns for clients such as Bristol-Myers Squibb, Ortho-McNeil Shire and Boehringer Ingelheim. She also previously worked as an assistant producer at WCNC 6 News in Charlotte, NC. Sarah has a B.A. in communication from Wake Forest University.</p>
<p><strong>Kate Beebe</strong> joins Northlich Cincinnati as an account manager within Northlich’s retail village. Prior to joining Northlich, Kate worked for Powers Agency supporting a wide variety of clients, as well as Edelman in Chicago, where she worked for brands such a Dove Real Beauty and AXE. Kate received a B.A. in strategic communications from the University of Kentucky.</p>
<p><strong>Megan Gottschalk</strong> joins Northlich Cincinnati as associate media director as part of the retail village. Megan brings extensive experience in strategic account planning and client services. She understands the importance of selecting the right media at the right time to reach the right audience. Prior to Northlich, Megan worked for Adcom Communications, Inc. in Cleveland, Ohio where she served at a senior media manager and worked for clients such as the Cleveland Clinic, RIDGID Tools and GE Lighting. Megan graduated from the University of Akron with a B.A. in business and organizational communication.</p>
<p><strong>Lindsey Steele </strong>joins Northlich’s Columbus office as a management supervisor working on The Ohio State University Medical Center. Lindsey brings extensive experience in healthcare and consumer marketing. Prior to joining Northlich, Lindsey worked at GSW Worldwide in Columbus where she focused on healthcare professional marketing for brands such as Eli Lilly and consumer marketing for Wendy’s International. Lindsey received a B.A. in marketing from Miami University and an MBA from Franklin University.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Northlich, a brand engagement agency with offices in Columbus, Cincinnati and Cleveland, was honored on November 16 at the 2010 – 2011 Blacksmith Awards hosted by the Cincinnati chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).</p>
<p>PRSA annually recognizes the best public relations work done at the local, national and international levels for corporate, agency and non-profit clients. This year, Northlich received 17 Blacksmith Awards in several highly-coveted categories.</p>

Jennifer Mooney has been named its new Executive Communications Director, bringing more than two decades of leadership in public relations, internal and external communications, reputation management, media relations, word of mouth marketing and social media, organizational communications and public affairs.</p>
<p>Jennifer’s career in the dynamic cable television industry began when there were 53 channels of service, including the introduction of CNN and MTV. As the industry evolved to more than 500 content-rich channels, Jennifer deployed Beta-tests of a variety of product and services and led communications teams as complex products and services were launched into households, businesses and schools.</p>
<p>“Jennifer has first-hand experience acquired during the revolution of the media environment that enables her to bring a targeted perspective and fresh approach in today’s new digital medium, helping brands reach and connect with consumers in a cluttered environment,” said Kathy Selker, CEO and president of Northlich. “She has worked across the nation on a wide range of critical consumer and public facing issues, bringing expertise in communications, public relations and organizational behavior.”</p>
<p>In additional to experience in high technology, telecommunications and the content-rich media business, Jennifer’s career has also included work in hospitality, retail, entertainment, financial/banking, healthcare institutions, wellness and philanthropy. She also served as the Chief Communications Officer of The Powers Agency, the Corporate Vice President for Public and Government Affairs for Bright House Networks and the Division Vice President for Time Warner Cable in Cincinnati for 15 years.</p>

<p>CINCINNATI (October 18, 2011) – Northlich, a leading brand engagement agency, hires five new staff members for its Cincinnati office and one team member based in Columbus.</p>
<p><strong>Angie Hall</strong> joins Northlich’s Cincinnati office as a media planner and buyer servicing primarily the Cincinnati Bell account. Prior to joining Northlich, Angie managed accounts for Hospice of Cincinnati, Omnicare, The Citizens Banking Company and Downtown Cincinnati Incorporated Education. She holds her Bachelor of Arts in communication arts and business from Xavier University.</p>
<p><strong>Rob Lunsford</strong> joins Northlich Cincinnati as a search marketing strategist, specializing in paid search and digital advertising. Rob brings over seven years of experience in search engine optimization and marketing, servicing clients such as M&amp;M Mars and General Mills. He studied information systems and web design at Kaplan University.</p>
<p><strong>Anne David</strong> joins Northlich Cincinnati as an account supervisor within the retail village. Prior to joining Northlich, Anne worked with recognized brands such as Liberty Mutual, J.M. Smucker and Dunkin’ Donuts. <p>Instead, bet on yourself, your presentation. Bet on your ability to paint a picture so vibrant, tell a story so compelling, that once you show the work, the client is significantly more inclined to get it, love it, and buy it.</p>
<p>Here are two videos every creative should watch at least twice, and probably re-watch when practicing their presentations. (You do practice, don’t you?)</p>
<p>The first is <a href="http://www.heywhipple.com/2011/10/09/ten-cool-things-steve-jobs-did-in-this-presentation/" target="_blank">Steve Jobs selling the “Think Different”</a> campaign to an audience of his fellow Apple employees, with keen commentary by Luke Sullivan.</p>
<p>The second is Mad Men’s <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=suRDUFpsHus" target="_blank">Don Draper selling a carousel slide projector ad</a> to the people at Kodak.</p>
<p>Will a good presentation guarantee success? Of course not. But after putting in all the hard work to create it, you owe it to yourself – and to the work – to prepare your clients to embrace the idea.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>As part of the <a href="http://www.ohiolottery.com/" target="_blank">Ohio Lottery Commission</a>’s (OLC) commitment to more fully engage its consumers both on and offline, it tapped <a href="http://www.northlich.com/" target="_blank">Northlich</a> earlier this year to design, develop and launch a new <a href="http://www.ohiolottery.com/" target="_blank">website</a> and mobile site. The sites respond to the needs of current lottery consumers to remain connected through multiple touch points.</p>
<p>The website offers users a dynamic and instructive gaming experience in a real time environment. Consumers can now view the televised drawings online, learn how to play draw and EZPLAY ® games with interactive tutorials and play free games like “<a href="http://www.ohiolottery.com/Games/JustForFunGames/Pig-on-the-Rocket" target="_blank">Pigs on the Rocket</a>” and “<a href="http://www.ohiolottery.com/Games/JustForFunGames/powerball-darts" target="_blank">Powerball Darts for Life</a>.”</p>
<p>Northlich also designed and launched the highly-anticipated mobile version of the OLC’s website. Driven by the insight that consumers want winning numbers delivered real time, the mobile site provides the latest drawing results, as well as the past 20 draws. Geo-targeting technology allows users to access the nearest retailer with just a few keystrokes.<del datetime="2011-08-16T12:06" cite="mailto:Tech"> </del></p>
<p>“The interactive experience is about staying connected to your favorite games and drawings – the Lottery is now literally at your fingertips,” said Jeffrey Warman, executive creative director at Northlich. “We’re honored the Ohio Lottery has given Northlich the opportunity to build and grow its presence for the needs of consumers.”</p>
<p>The new website also provides lottery fans with the opportunity to learn more about the OLC’s important community initiatives across the state and access its new <a href="http://ohiolottery.wordpress.com/" target="_blank">blog</a> featuring statewide news and current events. The website also features a user-friendly map of Ohio Lottery retail locations with the ability to search by name, city, zip code, county, games sold (KENO) or equipment type (Winstation, Multi-Play station).</p>
<p>“The new website and mobile site enable the Lottery to meet and exceed our customers growing demands and desire for instant and online access to games and results,” said Dennis Berg, interim director for the Ohio Lottery Commission. “Northlich has helped us create engaging platforms that appeal to new audiences while also respecting the needs of our current consumers.”</p>
<p>Northlich was selected in 2009 as the Ohio Lottery’s creative agency of record. Most recently, Northlich won two Gold and four Silver Awards from the 2010-2011 Cincinnati ADDY Awards for its highly creative and effective campaigns for the Ohio Lottery.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Northlich designed Fill in the Blank Sweepstakes from<a href="http://www.just-wink.com/" target="_blank"> justWink</a>, launched in July on Facebook. The sweepstakes allows fans to complete their own “I __ Like You __” line but they won’t know the prizes until <em>after</em> they win. <p>The Fill in the Blank Sweepstakes is part of the Northlich designed campaign to launch the justWink card line. Marking the two<ins datetime="2011-08-02T11:28" cite="mailto:Tech">-</ins>year partnership between <a href="http://www.northlich.com/" target="_blank">Northlich</a> and American Greetings, the brand looked to Northlich to develop a campaign targeting Gen Y for the largest launch of a card collection in a decade. The justWink collection is the first time a card line has truly captured the generation’s voice and social greeting needs.</p>
<p>The campaign reinforces the justWink brand promise with a new creative platform, “We __ like you __”. The campaign features a variety of “We __ like you __” headlines such as “We beaver party like you beaver party” and “We rainbow ralph like you rainbow ralph.” Each headline is brought to life through a series of 15-second <a href="http://www.youtube.com/justdashwink" target="_blank">videos</a> that highlight the attitude and personality of the line by depicting quirky scenarios inspired by individual cards.</p>
<p>“Our goal was to communicate with Gen Y through creative that’s sharable and ownable– which is what this generation demands,” said <a href="http://www.northlich.com/jeff-warman/" target="_blank">Jeffrey Warman</a>, executive creative director at Northlich. “We took the justWink brand promise and turned it into an opportunity to speak to Gen Y by incorporating the attitude and character of the cards into the marketing.”</p>
<p>The campaign also includes a new, app-based, e-greeting format, targeting Generation Y by focusing its connection points online and utilizing a witty tonality.</p>
<p>As part of the integrated campaign, Northlich also developed radio spots, online banner ads and out of home advertising. In addition to traditional media, the campaign includes influencer outreach and a local market event at the Carytown Watermelon Festival in Richmond, Virginia.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Arts &amp; culture is the brand essence of Cincinnati.  In a city with so many aspects of art – music, dance, theatre, museums, festivals, and more – there is a sense of pride in contributing to the arts community.</p>
<p>Northlich has a long history of involvement with <a href="http://www.theartswave.org/" target="_blank">ArtsWave</a>, a non-profit leader and catalyst advancing the vitality and vibrancy of our communities by mobilizing the creative energy of our entire region.</p>
<p>As the employee campaign coordinator for the ArtsWave community campaign, I continue to be amazed by the generosity of staff contributing every year. It can be challenging in economic times and is hard to ask people for more, but Northlich asked employees to give what they could without a set financial goal. We had 100 percent participation in the ArtsWave community campaign this year and rewarded our employees with a bonus day off.</p>
<p>Northlich’s contribution wasn’t just blended into a general fund. We are fortunate enough to see our efforts in a mural that was recently painted over the doors of the <a href="http://www.nkcac.org/" target="_blank">Northern Kentucky Community Action Commission in Covington (NKCAC)</a>.  Established in 1966, the Northern Kentucky Community Action Commission helps low income individuals and families develop the knowledge, opportunities, and resources they need to achieve self-reliance.</p>
<p>Ironically, my mentee of four years works at the NKCAC and will now be able to enjoy a <a href="http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150214069765986.317328.123811355985" target="_blank">mural</a> that represents the arts community and Northlich’s continuous support. In a world as small as the people you know – six degrees of separation – it is even more rewarding when an effort such as this turns out to directly touch someone you know well.</p>

<p>In Cincinnati,<strong> Matt Healy</strong> joins Northlich as a flash developer with extensive design and development experience. Prior to joining Northlich, Matt led development production, designed web layouts and 3D CAD sequences on interactive campaigns for clients such as NHC Healthcare, Gulfstream and the Savannah Chamber of Commerce. While attending The Ohio State University he started a web development company, digitalclout.com, where he worked for five years.</p>
<p><strong>Kisha Mitchell</strong> joins Northlich Cincinnati as a search marketing strategist, specializing in paid search and digital advertising. Prior to Northlich, Kisha managed affiliate marketing and lead generation programs for Tommy Hilfiger, Tretorn, Rockport, and Solstice Sunglasses. She studied business administration at Cincinnati State Technical and Community College and holds a certificate in HTML web authorizing from New Horizons Computer Learning Center.</p>
<p><strong>Laura Gels</strong> also joins Northlich Cincinnati as an art director working with White Castle and The Ohio State University Medical Center. She will incorporate her passion for creating meaningful interactions with consumers into her designs. Prior to joining Northlich, Laura created inspirational work for clients such as Abbott Nutrition, Ingram Micro, Pringles, Febreze and Cincinnati Shakespeare Company. She holds a B.A. in digital design from DAAP at the University of Cincinnati.</p>
<p><strong>Meredith Ferguson </strong>joins Northlich’s Columbus office as a management supervisor working on The Ohio State University Medical Center, The James and the Ohio Lottery Commission. She brings unique marketing insights from positions spanning advertising agencies, private sector and academics. Prior to joining Northlich, Meredith managed account teams for clients such as Champion Windows, Dirt Devil, Hoover and The Cleveland Clinic. She has also worked for University Hospitals of Cleveland and the British Embassy in Washington D.C.  Meredith holds a B.A. from Penn State University and a law degree from Vanderbilt Law School.</p>
<p><strong>Anne Unger</strong> joins Northlich’s Columbus office as an account supervisor with the public relations team, where she will apply her extensive consumer health and wellness experience. Prior to joining Northlich, Anne managed award-winning campaigns for a range of clients including P&amp;G, Eli Lilly, Pharmacia and Amgen. She holds a B.A. in journalism from the University of Georgia.</p>
<p>Finally,<strong> Lauren Johnson </strong>joins Northlich Cincinnati as the Community Relations Coordinator following an internship with Northlich’s public relations and word of mouth marketing team. A recent graduate of Northern Kentucky University, she holds a B.A. in public relations.</p>
