In spring 2009, American Greetings launched a new, innovative product nationwide – the music and sound envelope. The mailable envelopes are the next generation of the envelope and allow consumers to add a surprising burst of sound to their perfect greeting card. Because consumers have never experienced music and sound envelopes, it was important to demonstrate the envelopes online. We created a captivating interactive component that highlighted the element of surprise and allowed the user to interact with the product – with the end goal of driving consumers to retail stores to buy the product.
