Powerball coming to Ohio is a very big deal, and Northlich was asked to create a campaign worthy of its magnitude. Our strategy? Organize ten flash mobs of professional dancers disguised as Powerballs, bus them across the state, and watch them surprise Ohioans at various venues. The result? 130 broadcast hits that reached 8,116,102 viewers statewide. Two 30-second TV spots, three banner ads, wallscapes and a microsite later, the campaign drew 79,000 visitors to Powerball’s site within two weeks.
