From Jack Daniels to Travelocity, VP/Director of Northlich’s new Connection Planning Team Clyde Boyce knows how to create passionate, multi-media brand engagement. With a history of wins that include guiding the successful launch and establishment of Travelocity as one of the leading travel provider sites in the world, Boyce humbly joins Northlich as the head of our new Connection Planning team of media strategists.
We say humbly, because Boyce’s Southern charm and grace are nice complements to his super-powered media stealth. It’s stealth Northlich will utilize as we watch Clyde implement our approach—evaluating media based on its ability to efficiently and effectively connect with the target audience, while looking for the most optimized channel synergies.
As Mark Willis, our Chief Conversation Officer, puts it, “Clyde has already proven that it’s not just about securing the best outdoor or print buy — it’s about providing a powerful mix of traditional and digital strategies and assets that will ensure a brand becomes a larger part of consumers’ lives.” He adds, “We are thrilled that he is leading our established team of media strategists with his passion and knowledge for the business.”
Clyde brings insight from several categories, including travel and hospitality, restaurants, homebuilding, technology, finance and packaged goods. Clyde has served as the lead media strategist for many nationally recognized brands including La Quinta, Marriott, Wyndham, Ritz-Carlton Hotels, Ryland Homes, Ericsson Telecommunications, Daisy Brand Sour Cream and numerous Brown-Forman brands. But one of his biggest triumphs was developing the Jack Daniels post-race show on NASCAR.com, negotiating exclusive live and interactive content that established the Jack Daniels brand as “part” of NASCAR nation. It’s also one of the accomplishments he’s the most proud of.

No, I’m not talking about the throng of Gen Y-ers who are often unfairly criticized for walking aimlessly down sidewalks and hallways peering lovingly into their 3G and 4G smart phones. Nor am I referring to the growing ranks of aging baby boomers who long for the days when a hand-addressed envelope and hand-written letter appeared in their in-baskets … the real old fashioned in-baskets that now are stacked high in many an office’s supply closet.

Northlich has been selected to design a new Web site for the Ohio Lottery Commission (OLC). Once completed, the new Web site will feature the OLC’s instant and on-line games, big jackpot games including Powerball and Mega Millions, and expanded content to increase awareness of the OLC’s core mission, which is to help educate the children of Ohio through its games.
