If you are looking for passion, Frank Moricca has it for this business. He’s had the unique opportunity to work or manage just about every discipline in an ad agency. He started out in the accounting department of a family-owned agency in Buffalo, NY while pursuing an accounting degree, thinking he’d be a CPA. Manually entering timesheets wasn’t all he did in the early days. He had a dual role as agency “facilities engineer.” Yes, he emptied the trash, changed the light bulbs and got the CEO’s car washed. He’s a quick study, however, and realized there was more fun to be had in other parts of the agency and went exploring copywriting and media buying before landing in Client Services. He’s led a strategic planning and media group, managed web/digital groups, created an experiential marketing group and been a managing partner of an agency.
Frank brings more than 22 years of marketing and brand engagement experience to Northlich (two of those include his early facilities engineer role). In his recent appointment as the VP/General Manager, Moricca oversees the Columbus office and also provides strategic support to Northlich’s Health and Wellness business unit for clients such as Ohio State University Medical Center and Cardinal Health.
Most recently, Moricca served as senior vice president and director of client services of Fahlgren, where he managed the integrated marketing, experiential and interactive work for clients including Cooper Tires, NAPA Automotive, United Bank, Worthington Cylinders, Blue Magic Automotive Products, American Signature Furniture, Card Services for Credit Unions (CSCU), National City Bank, DePuy Ortho and Cardinal Health. He also led teams on projects for the Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Ohio Health, Ansell Healthcare and other health care clients.
As the business leader of Fahlgren’s interactive team, Moricca oversaw brand strategy for OhioHealth’s “Do Your Heart Good” micro site, NiSource site redesign, development of the Cooper Tires site as well as SEO and email campaigns for several brands. His category experience includes financial, consumer packaged goods, QSR, automotive aftermarket, retail and business-to-business
Moricca is active in the American Association of Advertising Agencies and a member of its Heartland Council. He is also an active member of the Society for Healthcare Strategy & Market Development and serves on the board of directors for the National Kidney Foundation of Ohio.
His wife Kelly and three children, twins Isabelle and Grace and son Simon, live in Gahanna, OH. Frank enjoys learning about and drinking wine; has picked up his enthusiasm for Sporting Clays and will probably put down his golf clubs. He continues to dream of owning a 1974 Porsche 911 Carrera RS 3.0.
