Kathy’s leadership style is a combination of straight shooter, servant leader, savvy business strategist and mom – perfect for creating an environment that nurtures talent and creativity, is open to new ways of thinking and puts people before things in every way that matters. Ask her, and she’ll tell you that her most important job is to cultivate talented, bright, creative people and give them the room and tools they need to do their job.

Since taking over the helm, she has led a bold new vision for the agency best described by her five core values: selflessness, transparency, passion, greatness and courage. Under Kathy’s leadership, these values are more than words on a page. These values have fueled bold action on her part that includes reorganizing the agency into a new client-centered, cross-functional villages, establishing a dynamic new leadership team and has embarking on the agency’s first-ever positioning initiative.

None of this happened over night. Kathy had about eight years of increasing responsibility at Northlich after joining the agency in 2000 as chief financial officer. She was serving as chief operating officer when she took the top job in January 2008. In addition, she also has 20 years of leadership and hands-on experience with major corporations such as Arthur Anderson & Company (now Accenture), Federated Department Stores (now Macy’s) and Coca-Cola Bottling Group (now part of Coca-Cola Enterprises).

Kathy holds a BA in economics and an MBA from the University of Cincinnati, where she sits on the Business Advisory Council at the College of Business. She is a trustee and president of the board of the Cincinnati Ballet Company, regional director of the American Association of Advertising Agencies board of directors, member of the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber of Commerce Agenda 360°, an executive member of the Women’s Foodservice Forum and a mentor at Oyler Elementary School.

Northlich also received three PRism Awards and one Award of Excellence for social media, media relations and integrated marketing communications programs. [...]

March 29, 2010 at 10:22 am

Not everyone can challenge a room full of clients and still win their hearts (and business) in the end.

That’s why I’m thrilled to announce that media veteran Clyde Boyce has joined Northlich. In addition to being a multimedia guru, and a great listener, Clyde can simultaneously charm and argue strategy with clients, which is a rare (and underrated) talent in this industry. [...]
