I’ve been using a new service called JournalistTweets. It’s worth checking out. The site is a free directory compiled from Cision’s media database of journalists who are on Twitter. You can search by industry and limited geography.

I like this concept because the new mode of pitching is moving to Twitter vs. e-mail. This is one more great tool to help us make this easier. And, if you think about it, Twitter is what journalists have been praying to get for years. They’ve always begged us to shorten our pitches and get right to the point. Now, we have to figure out how to convince them to consider our story idea in 140-character pitches. They love it.

Tell me what you think about the service and pitching via Twitter. And heck, it’s in Beta form, so be sure to tell JournalistTweets what you think as well.
