Northlich has appointed Hutson Kovanda to the role of executive creative director.
In the role, Kovanda will provide creative direction and leadership across the agency’s client roster, which includes Kroger, Frisch’s, Western & Southern Financial Group and other industry leaders.

Kovanda joins Northlich from Chicago, where he most recently served as senior vice president and creative director at Upshot. In that role, he oversaw the digital, traditional and social work for well-known brands including Corona, Modelo and LiftMaster.
Prior to his work with Upshot, Kovanda spent time as an executive creative director for other leading agencies in New York and Pennsylvania. His experience includes work with clients such as StarKist Tuna, the Fontainebleau Hotel, the Rosewood Hotel Group, Sunoco, Tazo Tea and Yuengling Beer.
He has won a plethora of awards for advertising and communication arts, including national ADDY awards from the American Advertising Federation and other regional honors.
