As California-based Yard House made plans to open a location in the heart of downtown Cincinnati’s newest hot spot, they called on Northlich to generate awareness and excitement for the restaurant. Northlich’s PR team went to work planning recruitment efforts, pre-grand-opening publicity, preview nights and continued promotions.
Introducing the new kid on the block
By leveraging recruitment and other pre-opening activities, Northlich created awareness of Yard House and its unique concept. The restaurant’s special features include an extensive menu of American fusion fare, a playlist of classic to contemporary rock, and a draft beer offering of 160 taps of craft ales and lagers.
Northlich secured placements on all of the top news stations, as well as print and online versions of media outlets throughout the city and surrounding areas.

Cincinnati.com featured Yard House as top news and listed the restaurant under “Things to Do” for 11 consecutive days. In addition to these efforts, Northlich hosted two preview parties for members of the media, city officials and dignitaries, charity partners, local businesses, and brand ambassadors, developing lasting relationships with key media members. The Cincinnati Yard House grand opening was a resounding success. Cheers!
